Have you decided where to spend your Valentine's day? Enjoy a happy day whether you have a lover or not. While dating a lover, your makeup should be simple and also elegant. It seems that you didn’t spend too much time on it, but actually, you have put in great efforts.

Valentine's Day’s Little Tricks
Trick 1: lightweight foundation
First of all, do not apply a heavy foundation. The foundation should be sheer and glossy. However, too-moisturizing foundation products are not suitable for this kind of weather with apparent temperatures reaching more than 40 degrees, so moisturizing before putting on makeup is pivotal.

Trick 2: concealer on key parts
Before putting on the foundation, I use the primer with a trace of pink shimmer on the cheekbones and bridge of the nose, and then put on the foundation. Those who are used to heavy makeup are recommended to apply some liquid foundation. Then, apply concealer on the parts like dark circles, redness-prone nose wings, pimples, etc.

Trick 3: natural makeup setting
Usually, I do not apply loose powder or makeup-setting products on my entire face. Instead, I use loose powder specially designed for the periocular area. I am used to using makeup setting products on key zones, such as T-zone, under the eyes, both sides of the nose wing and the chin, which can not only retain the skin’s original texture, but also create a more natural look.
Trick 4: ethereal glances
Instead of black eyeliner, you can use mellow brown ones. It can also highlight the eyes, but not too sharply. Fine shimmering eye shadow is a good choice, which can be applied in the middle of the dark eyeball.

Using a mascara base is also an essential step. After curling your eyelashes, apply a transparent mascara base. Before it dries, apply black mascara with a comb-shape brush instantly, so that you can achieve distinct and curled eyelashes.

People with thick eyelashes can even skip the steps of using mascara. Those who are more confident in false eyelashes can try to use a small segment at the end of the eyelashes to highlight the outer corners of the eyes, so that without drawing eyeliner, an eye-lengthening effect can also be achieved.
Trick 5: tipsy cheeks
Try the way of applying blush, which is popular in Europe and America recently. Before applying foundation, apply liquid blush or cream blush, and then apply the foundation to create a natural blush from the inside. Next, applying powder blush can make makeup more long-lasting.
Trick 6: intoxicating lips
Finally, lip makeup is today’s focus. First, applying thick lip balm should be an additional step of your skincare process before putting on makeup.

After the foundation and eye makeup are both finished, your lips have also been fully moisturized. Since the eye makeup and foundation are in a more natural style, with a red lip, lip makeup can be slightly more eye-catching. Students who are not so confident in red lips can mix lipstick and lip balm to reduce the saturation level of red lips and meanwhile do lip care.

I wish you all an unforgettable Valentine's Day!
