Now, We Return To The Forest With Alëna Olasyuk
The breath, which we have been taken for granted—every inhale and exhale, in fact, are all delicate but firm, touching memories and thoughts of humanity. What really touches us is the artist's subtle emotions that are infused into the painting. The reverence and patience she breathes into the painting became a piercing light emanating from the depths of her artwork.

Return To The Forest

With ink, fountain pen, and paper, Ukrainian artist Alëna Olasyuk leaves her mark of life with the monochrome binary of Oriental ink painting and calligraphy.

Painting is a straight line that she has been following since the day of her birth.
The repetitive painting of ink, utilizing each line to form abstract geometric structures, represents not only the weight of thoughts, but also the lightness of an open mind. You can vaguely feel the flow of the air, the fine texture like silky hair, forms like the sun and the moon rising and sinking in the mountains, or the swirling wind and waves.

Life in Process. For Alëna, painting is a straight line that she has been following since the day of her birth.

It is also like a set of codes to distant places, indexing the exit of our life. From her artwork, we can see that every stroke has its own expression, just as every heart has its unique poem, from which we can observe the transformation of landscape and life.
